Getting started is one phone call
You don't need a referral, and you don't need to have everything figured out. Here's exactly what happens, step by step.
- Call or request a callbackA confidential conversation with admissions — about 10 minutes. We'll answer questions and explain options.
- Insurance verificationWith your permission we check your benefits, usually the same day, and tell you what's covered before anything else.
- Clinical assessmentA licensed clinician meets with you (in person or by video) to understand your history and recommend a level of care.
- Your scheduleWe build a plan around your work, school and family, and set your start date — often within the week.
- Day oneYou meet your primary counselor and your group. From here, we go at your pace.

Most major insurance plans cover outpatient treatment.
Substance use treatment is an essential health benefit under federal parity law, which means most PPO and many HMO plans cover IOP and OP. We verify your specific benefits and explain any out-of-pocket costs up front — no surprises.
What we accept
- Most PPO plans (in- and out-of-network)
- Many HMO plans with authorization
- Employer assistance programs (EAP)
- Private pay with flexible payment plans
We regularly verify benefits with Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare and other major carriers. Not sure what you have? Call us — we'll figure it out together.
Verify your benefits
Call us with your insurance card handy, or send a photo of the front and back through the contact page. We'll typically confirm coverage the same business day.

Do I need to stop using before I start?
No. Come as you are. If you need medical detox first, we'll help you arrange it and reserve your spot for when you're ready.
Will my employer find out?
Not from us. Your treatment records are protected by HIPAA and federal confidentiality rules (42 CFR Part 2). Many clients attend evening groups specifically so treatment doesn't touch their workday.
Can I keep working or going to school?
Yes — that's the point of outpatient care. IOP takes about three hours a day, with morning and evening options.
What if I don't have insurance?
Ask us about private-pay rates and payment plans. We'll also point you to public resources if we're not the right fit financially.
Do you treat co-occurring mental health conditions?
Yes. Anxiety, depression and trauma are common alongside substance use, and our clinicians treat them together as one plan.
